Seamless Top-Down Construction
The sweater begins at the neckline and is worked downward in the round.
Raglan increases gradually shape the shoulders and upper body. Once the correct yoke stitch count is reached, the sleeve stitches are placed on hold while the body is completed.
The sleeve stitches are then returned to the needles and worked down to the cuffs, creating a sweater with minimal finishing and no traditional garment seaming.
Classic Everyday Style
The simple stockinette body and ribbed trim give this sweater a versatile, timeless look.
It works beautifully as:
- An everyday men’s pullover
- A handmade winter sweater
- A classic wardrobe basic
- A handmade gift for a husband, boyfriend, father, or son
- A first full-size raglan sweater project
- A neutral or colorful cold-weather knit
Choose a classic wool shade for a traditional look or use your favorite worsted-weight yarn to make it your own.
